The Smile Clinique is a registered provider of Invisalign treatment. Invisalign is considered one of the best ways to transform your smile without interfering with your day-to-day life. Treatment consists of a series of virtually invisible, removable, clear aligners, individually manufactured for your teeth. As you replace each aligner, your teeth will move – little by little, week by week – until the desired results are achieved. What’s more, a virtual treatment plan generated by Align Technology’s unique ClinCheck® software shows the series of movements your teeth will go through over the course of the treatment. This allows you to visualise upfront what your teeth are expected to look like at the end of your treatment.
Beaming from your face, your smile should be the window to your soul and the most obvious sign that you’re happy. Achieving the smile of your dreams doesn’t have to be out of reach, with Invisalign’s alternative to braces. Slim, transparent and invisible, Invisalign does all the hard work, so you can get back to enjoying your life.
How Invisalign works
The Invisalign Treatment Plan tailored to you
Firstly, your dentist will need to take a digital scan or impression of your teeth to begin the process of creating your new aligners. The software used, ClinCheck, is able to predict the movements of your teeth in the future and what changes may occur. It also is then able to produce an image of what your teeth may look like at the end of your treatment, based on these movements. Deciding your satisfied with your future smile is the hardest part of your role to play in this process.
Little by little, you’ll see a change
An Invisalign treatment works in two-week increments. You will be given your first set of liners that you will wear for roughly 14 days before changing into a new aligner. You will start to notice that your teeth will start moving, slowly and in small amounts, that will slowly lead you to the final phase where you are happy with your smile. As with everything at The Smile Clinique, your comfort is key here so you’ll need to keep us updated on how you are feeling.
You’re an individual and your smile should be too
Because you are unique and so is your smile, the length of treatment will vary between all patients. It is therefore of great importance that you make clear to your dentist what your needs and goals are and what you hope to achieve by the end of the treatment. We are here to help you achieve the smile of your dreams while still living the life you lead.
At the fore of innovative technologies and clinical studies, the Invisalign team have the tools to accurately manage the way your teeth are straightened giving you the result you desire.
Invisalign uses technology that was not only invented by the them but also techniques that they continue to improve on and that are constantly evolving. Invisalign’s technology involves aligners that are clear and removable so they are not fixed or have wires or brackets. That means no more cuts in your mouth or having to be shy when you smile and show a mouth full of metal.
Our aligners are not permanent and therefore do not hinder your ability to clean your teeth perfectly. You can take them out when necessary and eat, chew and speak comfortably.
ClinCheck – our virtual 3D treatment plan – is truly the future. ClinCheck projects just how much and where your teeth will shift in the future and plots out your one-of-a-kind treatment plan. You remain in control of your future smile.

- Widely spaced teeth can occur when you have extra space within your jaw.

- Deep bites occur when the upper teeth overlap significantly with the lower teeth.
- Under bites occur when the lower teeth protrude past the front teeth, usually caused by undergrowth of the upper jaw, overgrowth of the lower jaw, or both.
In saying this, Invisalign is not for everyone and each case must be thoroughly assessed to determine if it will work for you. In some cases, braces or surgical intervention may be what is required to provide the result you desire.
